Terms of Service

RoadworksCheck is a free information website. It republishes roadworks and closure data from official public feeds so you can check what is currently recorded near a place or on a supported motorway.
What the site is for
Use RoadworksCheck as a convenient summary of public roadworks information. It is not a government service, not a navigation product, and not a substitute for official travel advice.
Data sources
Motorway events come from the National Highways DATEX II feed. Local street works come from local roadworks notifications published by the Department for Transport. Coverage, timing and descriptions depend on those feeds.
No guarantee of completeness
We do not guarantee that every work, closure or restriction is shown, that times are complete, or that the site will always be available. Records can be delayed, incomplete, superseded or missing. Planned works may change. The site may be interrupted for maintenance or feed outages.
Check official sources for critical journeys
If a journey depends on a road being open — for example an appointment, freight movement or emergency access — confirm the latest position with National Highways, the local highway authority, the police, or another official source before you travel.
Limitation
RoadworksCheck is provided as-is and without charge. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the information, from missing or outdated records, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, or scrape it in a way that interferes with other users or the official source feeds. Automated access that is reasonable for search engines is allowed.
